DUKES DALTON Dalton's birthday is June 2nd. He was born in Boston, MA. Dukes played semi-pro baseball and is a huge Red Sox fan. Dalton debuted in NECW on January 22 in Somerville when he turned on tag team partner Mike Hollow. The reaction from the fans is what Dukes loves about the business, "I like the fact that if you're good, people will react to what you are doing and pay attention, and their emotions are in your hands." Dalton used to love hanging out by the ramp at the old Boston Garden and meet the wrestlers as they arrived. He is another trainee of Killer Kowalski. The year was 1995. His first pro match was a triangle match at the Norwood Civic Center in Norwood, MA on May 26th, 1995. His opponents were Outpatient (Jay Kobain) and Rodney Eastgaven. Dukes was not involved in the decision. Dalton was 1/2 of the NWA World Tag Team Champions with Knuckles Nelson. He also wrestled WWF TV bouts on several occasions against the Headbangers. Dalton was in the first WWF Super Bowl commercial. Dukes agrees with “Brutal” Bob Evans on the quality of wrestlers appearing on indy shows, "There should be less groups running using so called wrestlers that have no business being in the ring. These products take work away from good wrestling organizations because their shows have no psychology and give other groups and the business a bad name." Thoughts on NECW: "Should only be going up because of great media exposure for an independent group and the people behind it know the business well." |
