New England Championship Wrestling celebrates its 9th anniversary with a return to the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street in Quincy, MA this Saturday night August 8th with a 7 PM bell time for BIRTHDAY BASH 9: RAGE IN A CAGE!

The main event will be the long-awaited rematch between NECW Triple Crown Champion, “The Enforcer” Max Bauer and former NECW Heavyweight Champion, “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion with manager Sean Gorman in his corner.The coveted championship will be on the line in a match that will take place inside a steel cage. No feud in NECW history has been more bitter and more intense than this one. In fact, this battle could be so fierce that NECW officials announced a controversial special guest referee for this match in former NECW Triple Crown Champion, D.C. Dillinger.

World Women’s Wrestling Champion, “The Portuguese Princess” Ariel takes on former champion, Alexxis Nevaeh who has chased her goal of securing another shot at the title for the past year. Nevaeh knows she may never get another chance to take the red and gold belt and even though the champion’s agent, Brendan Michael Thomas will be at ringside, the challenger says she is 100% prepared for this match up.

The NECW Television Championship will be on the line in a return grudge match as Champion, “Superstar” Ryan Matthews squares off with “The Heat” Kris Pyro in a return grudge match. Last month, Pyro was robbed of his opportunity to take the title by Matthews’ grandpa, Robbie Ellis. This time Ellis will be banned from the building, evening the odds for the popular Kris Pyro as he turns up the heat on the NECW Television Champion.

NECW Tag Team Champions, The Crown Jewels (Darling Damon & Bad Boy Jason) with “Mr. Fabulous” Tony Ulysses in their corner have signed a return match for the championship with fan favorite, Davey Loomis and Alex Payne. Last month, The Jewels and Ulyssess humiliated Loomis and he is out to even the score with the veteran Alex Payne at his side.

In a special triple threat grudge match, 2009 IRON 8 Champion , Antonio “The Promise” Thomas battles “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke who viciously attacked Thomas after winning this year’s IRON 8 Tournament and “The Natural” Scott Osbourne with his controversial manager, the self-proclaimed “Rock God” Brett Adams.

We’ll also have a mixed tag team challenge match pitting “Sensational” Scott Levesque and Sammi Lane with Handsome Johnny in their corner against Puerto Rican sensations, Ryan Bisbal and Ivy.

“The Talent” T.J. Richter with Mr. Munroe in his corner faces “The Upset Kid” Nick Westgate in a return match.

In addition, we will have a live Pat’s Pit segment with Pat “The Brat” Piper, a major announcement from NECW officials and more.

The countdown is on. This Saturday night, May 30th, NECW presents the 6th Annual IRON 8 Championship and the final NECW TV before this huge event is now online, and it is a very controversial episode due to an incident that ends the program.

We begin with words from some of the competitors in this year’s tournament, as we recap some of the thoughts from Slyck Wagner Brown, Antonio Thomas and “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke on the eve of the IRON 8. We also have new thoughts from “The Heat” Kris Pyro on Saturday night event.

From there, Pat “The Brat” Piper’s latest Pat’s Pit gets unexpectedly pre-empted by Sammi Lane and Handsome Johnny.

A World Women’s Wrestling feature match is up this week featuring two competitors who will also be featured at this Saturday night’s IRON 8, as former WWW Champion, Alexxis Nevaeh collides with Mistress Belmont, now managed by Sean Gorman.

From there, we take you to the closing moments of the April 18th match between NECW Triple Crown Champion, “The Enforcer” Max Bauer and “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion, along with controversial and disturbing footage of what took place after the match, outside in the parking lot.

After the vicious post-match attack on NECW Triple Crown Champion, “The Enforcer” Max Bauer last month in Quincy, as he was facing Antonio Thomas, “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion got the attention of the champion and a rematch of the greatest title bout in NECW history was signed. Bauer and Arion will collide again at SPRING BREAKDOWN, but this time, Arion will have new manager, Sean Gorman in his corner.

After begging, pleading and cajoling NECW President, Sheldon Goldberg, the self-proclaimed “Superstar” Ryan Matthews gets his wish – a championship match in NECW with his beloved grandfather in attendance at ringside. New champion, “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke, who regained the title after chasing Handsome Johnny for over a year, makes his first defense of the title against the Matty Cat.

In a special challenge match, two of the top stars in the history of NECW go one on one for the first time, as Antonio “The Promise” Thomas battles former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown.

“The Natural” Scott Osbourne was scheduled to square off against Davey Loomis in a return grudge match. However, due to an injury, Osbourne will be unable to appear. He will be replaced by newcomer Isys Ephex, making his NECW debut.

“The Talent” T.J. Richter, along with Mr. Munroe, the man Richter claims no one can slam, have issued an open tag team challenge to any two men in NECW.

In a special World Women’s Wrestling Feature Match, former WWW Champion, Alexxis Nevaeh returns to action in Quincy, as she takes on another returning star in Mistress Belmont, who is now managed by Sean Gorman.

“Sensational” Scott Levesque, who debuted last month here in Quincy, returns tonight to take on young Nick Westgate. Levesque will have his mentor Handsome Johnny, along with Sammi Lane in his corner.
