DEBONAIR CRUZ

Debonair Cruz was born on March 10, 1978 in Springfield, MA.  Debonair also wrestles as Chi Chi Cruz in other independent promotions.  He trained at the home of APW in Hayward, CA by Donovan Morgan, Michael Modest and Vinny Massaro.  He kept his mouth shut and ears open while learning more about the business than he imagined. His debuted match came in the summer of 2000 on the losing end of a tag match in Enfield, CT to the Egomaniacs.

His career highlight was being part of a six man tag and working against Ricky Morton, Kid Kash, and Chris Hamrick.

Cruz has some words for people to live by:  "Back in 1999 I dropped out of college and took a three day bus ride to go learn how to wrestle.  I couldn't concentrate on my studies because the business consumed my mind.  If you have a passion for something, don't throw it away, because passion is hard to come by in this day and age."

Thoughts on NECW:  "NECW runs their shows with dignity and forethought for the fans.  And as a young wrestler, the wealth of knowledge in the locker room is the reason I lace up my boots there."
